A Draw of Kings, Staff and the Sword Series #3 – Patrick W. Carr

Standard

Their journey to Merakh should have made Errol and his companions heroes of the realm. Instead, much is changed on their return. In the wake of the king’s death, Duke Weir is ruling the country–and his intentions are to marry Adora to bring an heir.

With Errol and the others imprisoned and the identity of the rightful heir to the throne still hidden in secrecy, Illustra is on the verge of civil war–and at growing risk from the armies of Merakh and Morgol.

A dangerous mission to free Errol succeeds, but the dangers facing the kingdom are mounting with every passing moment. The barrier has fallen, ferals are swarming toward the land, and their enemies draw near. Will the revelation of Illustra’s next true king come in time or will all be lost?” (Taken From Christianbook.com)

Can I say what a thrilling book this was? Well, I’m saying it alright, because it was absolutely amazing!

Patrick W. Carr, definitely hit the ball on the absolutely epic conclusion of the Staff and The Sword Series. Comparing it back to the first book, The Hero’s lot, Patrick still has the amazing writing ability that he’s carried though out the books. The detail and everything else has been phenomenal and especial with the last book, there’s no less of it! The Character’s and everything else I just love about the book, taking the time for all the little details that make this such an amazing book.

Remembering how the Characters were in the first book, and seeing how they are no, you can definitely tell that they’ve been on a grand adventure. This is a great and well written book, all of the different elects from Fantasy/Adventure/Action have been combined to create an amazing tale with a great meaning behind the story. Even when I had put this book down a few times, I wanted to pick it back up and finish the story right away and see what lied ahead for the characters. It made me at least del like I was part  of the book, imagining everything happened like it was before my very eyes.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars
